Terms of Service

The agreement between your company and Pulsido: plans and billing, your data, acceptable use, and the legal terms.

These terms are an agreement between ByteYeti, a sole proprietorship based in India, which provides Pulsido ("Pulsido", "we", "us"), and the company or organization that signs up for Pulsido (the "Customer", "you"). They cover pulsido.com, app.pulsido.com, help.pulsido.com, and the Pulsido apps for Slack and Microsoft Teams (the "Services").

Whoever signs up for Pulsido for the Customer, or accepts these terms on its behalf, confirms they're allowed to bind it. If you've signed an Order Form with us, it's part of this agreement, and it wins if the two disagree.

1. Using Pulsido

1.1 Accounts. The Customer decides who joins its company in Pulsido ("Users") and what role each has. Users must be at least 18 and must use Pulsido on the Customer's behalf. The Customer is responsible for its Users and for keeping sign-in details safe, and should tell us right away about any unauthorized use.

1.2 Your responsibilities. The Customer is responsible for having the right to put its information into Pulsido, including member details from an HR system, and for telling its people how it uses Pulsido, as employment and privacy laws require.

1.3 Confidential features. Pulsido's pulse, feedback, and anonymous surveys are designed so people can speak up without being identified. The Customer agrees not to try to identify who wrote confidential feedback or anonymous answers, not to retaliate against anyone for honest feedback, and not to describe a named survey as anonymous.

2. Plans, trials, and early access

2.1 Plans. Pulsido has a Free plan with no time limit, and paid Pro and Business plans. What each includes is on our pricing page.

2.2 Trial. A new company gets 14 days of the Business plan without a card. When the trial ends, it moves to the Free plan unless it subscribes. Nothing is deleted.

2.3 Early access. While billing isn't switched on, every feature is free. We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email and in Pulsido before any company is charged, and nobody is charged without subscribing.

3. Fees and payment

3.1 Our reseller. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payment and handles returns. Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.

3.2 Prices. Paid plans are priced per person per month, in US dollars, billed monthly or yearly. The Customer chooses the number of people ("seats") it pays for. Adding seats or upgrading is charged right away, prorated for the rest of the period. Going over the paid seats never locks anyone out; we'll ask you to update your seats.

3.3 Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until canceled. The owner can cancel any time under Manage → Billing, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, when the company moves to the Free plan. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

3.4 Taxes. Prices don't include taxes. Paddle calculates, collects, and remits sales tax, VAT, or GST where it applies, and issues the invoices.

3.5 Price changes. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. It applies from your next renewal, never in the middle of a paid period.

3.6 Late payment. If a payment fails, Paddle will retry it. If it still isn't paid, the subscription may be canceled and the company moved to the Free plan.

3.7 Contracts. For negotiated deals, the plan, seats, price, term, and payment terms in the signed Order Form apply. Invoices are issued by Paddle and due within the terms stated.

4. Your data

4.1 You own it. Everything the Customer and its Users put into Pulsido ("Customer Data") belongs to the Customer. We claim no ownership of it.

4.2 What we may do with it. The Customer gives us permission to host, copy, process, and display Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure, and support the Services, and as the Customer instructs through its settings. Our Data Processing Addendum forms part of these terms and governs personal data in Customer Data. Our Privacy Policy explains our practices.

4.3 Aggregated information. We may use counts and other aggregated information about how Pulsido is used, to run and improve the Services. It never includes the content of kudos, answers, or feedback, and never identifies the Customer or any person.

4.4 Export and deletion. The Customer can export reports and activity as CSV from Pulsido, and we'll provide a full export on request while the account is active and for 30 days after it ends. After that, or sooner if the Customer asks in writing, we delete Customer Data as our Privacy Policy describes.

5. Acceptable use

The Customer and its Users must not:

  • break the law, or use Pulsido to harass, threaten, discriminate against, or retaliate against anyone;
  • post content that's unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights;
  • put special categories of personal data (such as health, religion, or ethnicity) into Pulsido without a lawful basis;
  • try to identify the authors of confidential feedback or anonymous answers;
  • probe, scan, or test Pulsido's security, or get around its limits or access controls, except through responsible disclosure to privacy@pulsido.com;
  • reverse engineer the Services, scrape them, or overload them;
  • resell Pulsido, or use it to build a competing product;
  • send spam or malware through it.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and, if it's serious or repeated, suspend access. We'll tell the Customer's owner when we do, unless the law prevents us.

6. Coins, rewards, and swag

6.1 Coins have no cash value. Coins are points the Customer gives its people to use in its own Pulsido rewards store. They aren't money, can't be bought or sold through us, can't be exchanged for cash by us, and belong to no one. The Customer sets and can change how they work.

6.2 We never hold reward money. Gift cards, prepaid cards, and donations are ordered through the Customer's own Tremendous account, under Tremendous's terms, and funded by the Customer there. Custom rewards and swag are provided by the Customer or its own suppliers. We aren't a party to those rewards and aren't responsible for delivering them.

6.3 Taxes on rewards. The Customer is responsible for any tax or payroll treatment of the rewards it gives its people.

7. Connected services

Pulsido can connect to services such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google, Merge (for HR systems), Tremendous, GIPHY, and Paddle. When the Customer connects one, it does so under that provider's terms, and that provider is responsible for its own service. We may stop supporting a connected service if its provider changes or ends it.

8. Optional AI features

If the Customer's owner turns on "Help me reply", drafts are created by an AI model. Drafts can be wrong or incomplete. Nothing is sent until a person reviews it and sends it, and the person sending a reply is responsible for it.

9. Our service

9.1 Availability. We work hard to keep Pulsido available and secure, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, unless an Order Form includes a service level.

9.2 Changes. We improve Pulsido often. We may change or remove features. If we remove a material feature of a paid plan, we'll tell you at least 30 days before, and you may cancel and receive a prorated refund for the unused part of a prepaid period.

9.3 Support. Help is available at help.pulsido.com and by email.

10. Intellectual property and feedback

Pulsido, its software, design, and brand are ours, and these terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the Services. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

11. Confidentiality

Each of us will keep the other's non-public information confidential, use it only for this agreement, and protect it at least as carefully as our own. This doesn't cover information that's public, already known, independently developed, or that the law requires us to disclose (with notice to the other where allowed).

12. Term, suspension, and termination

12.1 These terms apply from when the Customer signs up until its account is closed.

12.2 The Customer can stop using Pulsido at any time and ask us to close its account by emailing legal@pulsido.com.

12.3 We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts the Services or others at risk, or doesn't pay. Where we reasonably can, we'll give notice and time to fix the problem first. If we close a paid account without cause, we'll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

12.4 Sections 4.4, 6, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, and 16 survive the end of this agreement.

13. Disclaimers

Except as these terms expressly say, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. Pulsido's scores and results are tools for conversations at work, not professional HR, legal, or medical advice.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • neither of us is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, even if warned they were possible; and
  • each party's total liability under this agreement is limited to the greater of the fees the Customer paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $100.

These limits don't apply to the Customer's payment obligations, either party's liability for breaching section 11, or the Customer's obligations under section 15.

15. Indemnity

The Customer will defend us against third-party claims arising from Customer Data, from its or its Users' breach of section 5, or from rewards it provides, and will pay the resulting damages and reasonable costs, as long as we tell the Customer promptly about the claim and let it control the defense.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, we'll each try in good faith to resolve a dispute by email within 30 days. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, though either of us may ask any court for urgent relief to protect confidential information or intellectual property.

17. General

  • Changes to these terms. If we make a material change, we'll tell the Customer's owner at least 30 days before it takes effect. For paid plans, it applies from your next renewal. Continuing to use Pulsido after that means you accept the change.
  • Notices. We send notices to the owner's email in Pulsido. Send yours to legal@pulsido.com.
  • Assignment. Neither of us may transfer this agreement without the other's consent, except to a successor in a merger or sale of the business, with notice.
  • Force majeure. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
  • Entire agreement. These terms, any Order Form, the Data Processing Addendum, and the policies they link to are the whole agreement between us. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right isn't a waiver of it.
  • Publicity. We won't use the Customer's name or logo in our marketing without permission.
